About the event
The Council Grove Community Theatre proudly presents Driving Miss Daisy, the beloved Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Alfred Uhry.
Set in the American South during the Civil Rights era, Driving Miss Daisy follows the unlikely friendship between Daisy Werthan, a strong-willed elderly Jewish woman, and Hoke Colburn, her patient African American chauffeur. What begins as a reluctant arrangement develops into a meaningful relationship spanning decades, exploring themes of friendship, aging, prejudice, and the power of human connection.
